Amazing how recognizing a familiar name can bring a grin to your face. Sailing back from Tobermory, I heard "Cherry Ripe" calling the ferry to advise him that he wasn't visible on AIS. Interestingly enough, I had noticed, a few days before, that his heading was 180 degrees out??? Anyway. I gave "Cherry Ripe!" a nod on the way past Shuna last week on the way down as she hung to her mooring. The weather has been sh17e but I've enjoyed my jaunt. Currently on a mooring at Loch Creran (Creagan Inn) before heading back into the canal tomorrow. Good to be back West - I don't think it'll be long before Rosally is back here - though odds on it won't be at Dunstaffnage :-/ Personally, I was shocked at the standards of maintenance, charges for car parking while you sail !!! etc. etc.
Ships that pass in the night - Or even during the day.

I passed through Lossie a couple of times in July, but when I looked round at Rosally there was nobody about.
From Peterhead I went Whitehills, Lossie Helmsdale, Wick, Helmsdale, Cromarty, Inverness, Lossie, Whitehills and back to Peterhead. I was away about 3 weeks during the best of the weather.
Mibbies see you sometime.

It's not the place it used to be. Lots of boats have left recently for all sorts of reasons.

Glad to provide some entertainment. It's not my normal habit to chat to calmac masters but I thought it would be good if Lord of the Isles was transmitting AIS. His signal appeared a couple of minutes later so it was probably just turned off.
