Well, that's it. Time to start planning the winter lay-up as the days shorten into the stygian gloom of winter.

I suppose that being so cheerful is what keeps you going!

Sorry! Now I've had my coffee and it is welcome to the official first day of summer, and a fine one it will be too. Sunshine, a balmy breeze and Mme Marisca has deigned to join me on a wee donner doon ra watter tae the fleshpots of Millport as long as I promise not to heel the boat more than 5 degrees.
Pity about the forecast for the weekend.

I have always liked this time of year. The glass is half full, time for a top up, as the rest of year is still in front.

We just popped by Mistral to say hello - she's looking fine. The 6 cygnets are doing well too. (Actually I'm just pleased I'm on a boat as well)

Doubt you would have had a bouncy night in Millport on fri then?
Was there on HB wed eve until thur lunchtime then across to Rothesay for the night.
Enjoyable couple days out apart from drowning my immaculate 2.5 4stk yam ob after it slid off the jetty at Fairlie and went to the bottom, 4ft down

After emergency surgery on arrival home it is now running better than ever.
cant kill a Yahama.
Intend getting out to view the Fifers this wk end.

The wee trip was a there and back. I hope no-one saw me with 2 reefs in the main and 4 rolls in the jib with, at the most, 20kts over the deck, but Mme was suitably mollified. I'm not daft enough to subject my lady wife to a night at Millport with any south at all in the forecast.
I, too, am looking forward to the Fifers next weekend then it's up to Oban for the Round Mull Race the following weekend.
