... if you are in Puilldobrhan or Loch Aileen or other anchorage thereabouts, over the weekend and you see a muckle green boat, a slightly garish shade, do come over and enjoy (a) the Dickinson Stove and (b) a dram.

"Loch Aileen"? Is that near big Doris or Shona? I suppose if we just follow the Oban LB we will find you.

There are some charts under Silkie's starboard saloon cushion that you're welcome to borrow.

Well, we're presently in Loch Sunart and shall be dining out in Salen this evening for Mme S's birthday. The new pontoons are very good and come with a very warm welcome, and, for those with memories if the old leaking conservatory, the hotel is being refurbished; quite a facelift altogether. Again, friendly and well run. All in all, an ideal location for a Chentleman's Cruise......
Weather has been, shall we say, mixed, although it has afforded some fast sailing when the sea state has allowed.

Well indeed, happy birthday Mme S. We had a brisk sail down the Lynn of Morven on Saturday, with everything from a calm to about 25 knots of breeze allowing for a variety of sailplans from all plain sail to reefed main & stays'l. Round the bottom of Kerrera and an overnight stay in the unaccustomed luxury of a marina berth. Back north this morning in every thickening clag, and home to Auld Reekie for 6pm. All thoroughly enjoyable if a little damp. Very good to be back on the west coast after a long absence.

The boatyard forgot about us and are likely to be too busy this forthcoming week.
I am pretty busy helping finish off Skiff bits and pieces so we can get it into the water.
Doesn't look like this is going to be Fairwind's' finest season, but next year the Baltic?
