Mooring for sale
Re: Mooring for sale
If you're interested, there are 2 or 3 for sale at West Connel, by the Oyster Inn. I could put you in touch with the Mooring Association. People seem to have been put off by the 2 boats on the beach last winter.

Re: Mooring for sale
I rescued a Micro-plus off the boulders opposite the pub some years ago (mid-90's ish). We paddled it across the loch & put it back on the mooring it came off. Left my details at the pub, but no-one ever contacted me to say thanks. I wasn't expecting any reward, but a simple thanks would have been nice. It took me & my then young son the best part of an afternoon to refloat it & get it on the mooring while SWMBO fumed in the waiting for us to stop dicking about.cpedw wrote:If you're interested, there are 2 or 3 for sale at West Connel, by the Oyster Inn. My enduring perception is of an owner who didn't really want his boat & had tied it on with an old shoelace. But if several have come adrift, perhaps the gales & tidal waves are endemic & disaster is simply inevitable no matter how hard you try.
