I see some bampot's going on about colanders in YBW's Scuttlebutt. Shouldn't that really be in the PBO section where they make them out redundant engine parts?
I would, of course, have contributed my wisdom to that great debate if they'd allowed me to log on......

Modern colander designs are rubbish. They used to be really sturdy and good but now they're just designed by computers and under-engineered.
I heard of a colander built in France or Germany where the handle fell off.

Although I have not been across to see the offending thread, I can report a high degree of colandic success with out newly acquired foldaway silicon colander.
It folds flat, and if Madame FC whacks me with it whilst in a fit of pique, no lasting or even visible damage is done to yours truly.
