Do any of you folk know of any good sailing adventure books (ATW's etc) in pdf form that I could download in order to copy to my laptop enabling me to read them while away from home without web access.
I am currently reading Webb Chiles, Alone around Cape Horn.
Books on these lines I enjoy, but will be away tomorrow for a few days.
Pardon me for not posting this in the Book forum, thought it might get missed there.
TIA, C_W

Single handed sailing tips http://www.sfbaysss.org/library-new.html It is not as dry as it makes out, some good technical stuff, some psychology stuff and other bits and bobs about sailing.

The USA Practical Navigator. This is America's manual of navigation as developed by Nathanial Bowditch. Like all USA stuff it has been paid for by the tax payer so is available free to download. It's a weighty tome but lots of stuff to read. Obviously its not bed time reading, unless you are an anorak. http://msi.nga.mil/NGAPortal/MSI.portal ... bCode=0002

Thanks Nick and B O B.
I had copied shrimpy to a pen drive so as to read it on my laptop down the road but the laptop started packing up on me :( but I can read it here at home, and look forward to it, Thanks for that Nick.
B O B, I was really asking about sailing adventures, which is my favorite reading, as opposed to instructional material.
I couldent find any freebees on your links, any other links?
Thanks.
