According to the BBC news there was a bit of a blow on Friday night, harbour walls on the east coast damaged etc.
See here http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-n ... d-20746956
I'm surprised there hasn't been any comment on here so far.

Perhaps we are just a bunch of self interested lushes. When the season is over, who cares about the weather?

I can't say I noticed much but reports from the north are of very high tides and big onshore seas. If it happened darn sarf I expect a national emergency would have been declared.

Meanwhile the Queensferry RNLI have continued their humanitarian work. When not rescuing OAPs from flat calms they are saving lives.

The 'severe' storms were on the east coast.

It can only have improved the place.....

A severe storm completely devastated Fleetwood in February 1947.
It caused 8/- worth of damage.
