BLUEMOMENT

One of my sea poems has found its way onto this site. How? I find this extremely flattering. I'm not widely published, but have been encouraged by a few minor awards. My son said, "That makes you an award-winning poet. I should live so long. I'm a ship's master, beyond retiring age, but still being "dug up" and sent to sea. I also retain my early fascination with small craft and got a yachtmaster offshore ticket some time ago. I sent in a day's work of celestial navigation to upgrade to 'Ocean,' but it got lost in the post. Since then I haven't bothered, but I'll have to go back to school at great expense if I'm to revalidate in 2014. Course fees are geared to the spending power of ship owners. Enough Whinging. I'm a lucky 72 year old.
