'Cos TOP mentioned it I went looking again and the Sanda website isn't quite as far up itself as it was, but still looks as if they need help in the concept of right to roam and anchor. An attraction for passing sailors starved of company since Gigha or Campbeltown might be the "Premises Manager" Berna Civeleker

Whether the welcome extends to the lower orders anchoring their boats and desiring liquid refreshment rather than haute cuisine, I await reports. If I do get there I feel it is incumbent upon me to anchor under sail!

Terms of Business for use of the moorings at Sanda Island
We welcome yachts from all over the world in the bay at Sanda Island. We have 4 modern moorings, built in 2010. Anyone using the moorings will also be welcome in our restaurant.
We ask that the following terms are complied with when using the moorings at Sanda Island:-
There is a fee of £10 per day/night or part thereof for use of the moorings which should be paid in advance to the bank account shown below or at the restaurant on arrival.
Owners must not pick up or leave the mooring under sail.
It is the owners responsibility to ensure that their vessel is moored correctly.
Owners must not double moor to another boat in the absence of a vacant mooring space.
Owners must maintain adequate insurance which must cover:
a) Damage to other vessels; and
b) Damage caused by fire or any other hazard to the moorings and any other property owned by Sanda Island Limited.
Use of the moorings is at the owners own risk and Sanda Island Limited accepts no liabilty whatsoever for any damage occassioned through such use.
Visitors should be aware that there is no medical cover on Sanda Island and that the nearest hospital is in Campbeltown. In the event of an emergency visitors will require to summon the lifeboat by dialling 999.
The fee for use of the moorings is £10.00 per day/night or part thereof payable at the resturant on arrival or in advance to our account 30533635, sort code 82-61-20 at the Clydesdale Bank in Campeltown.
Sanda Island Limted accepts no liability for any loss, injury or damage to vessels or persons which takes place on Sanda Island. Any personal possessions brought to the island and stored there is done so at the owners own risk. When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your party. These terms are governed by and to be interpreted in accordance with Scottish law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
