MCA v. British Waterways - who's right?

I found MSN 1827 (M) which defines the Forth Carron ditch as "Category A: Narrow Rivers and canals where the depth of water is generally less than 1.5 metres." Meanwhile BW continues to advertise it as 1.83m. Explains why I hit the bottom so often!

It is interesting to read the limits of the various categories and on the Clyde the changing limits depending on the seasons.

Older Clyde ferries like the Saturn and the Glen Sannox used to have different seasonal operating limits on their certificates. I haven't seen that on the newer ones.
