Well, I don't care. I shall make every effort to keep the forum advised of all the news that's fit to print......

.
The Raasay ferry terminal story is exactly the sort of topical, relevant article with a peculiar BlueMoment slant that the section was designed for. Well done that man.

Additions /changes to moorings, new facilities etc all welcome there, but please remember to forward all moorings info directly to me as well in case I miss it.

It was indeed brilliant. I would urge people who don't routinely read the AROUND THE SCOTTISH COAST forum to nip over there and check it out. Or even better view the site exclusively via "View active topics", which saves you the bother of clicking to see all the latest posts.

Well it's had time to settle, and I think it's brilliant.

I thought the new forum would dilute posts. At best it would make no difference, at worst it would attract a paucity of posts and they would be missed because people wouldn't look in.

In fact it's prompted people to post stuff I suspect they wouldn't otherwise have posted.

I've learned that Calmac is state owned. I've now heard of "singing the fishing", and even the 'moorings in lamlash' thing is interesting (to me at least) even though I doubt I'll be going back there for a good few years. Would any of that stuff have been posted withiut the new forum? I doubt it.

180 degree change of opinion from me.
