Locked out from Corpach 14.20 yesterday and picked up our mooring in Balvicar at midnight. Will get the blog finished today or tomorrow and add all the pictures ASAP.

Me too
The Skipper of the Pride of Rotterdam did a fine job - naturally he was grateful for my offer of assistance with the crossing and said he'd get back to me should he need to.
I gave him my cabin number just to make things easier - in case an emergency cropped up but obviously an uneventful crossing. Funny thing though - I woke in the night and thought I might take a trick on deck only to find my ambitions thwarted as I couldn't get the cabin door open. I think the skipper must have thought he'd better keep Old Claymore safe for the night in case I was needed. Good to know you are appreciated don't you think?

Lookiong forward to reading your blog of the trip . . . on which subject, textually ours is complete now, will add pics later this week.
Might I recommend hanging around the bridge with a hand-held GPS sucking air through the teeth? Used this on my first and only crossing to Sweden (by ferry) when the engine broke down for a couple of hours. We had our own liferaft with us as hand luggage though.

OK Nick, now you're back & have hopefully dealt with the mountain of e-mails, paid customer invoices & work requests, have you noticed that the calendar is a little slow this month?
