I seem to remember someone here had a very handy table of the times of tides turning around at e.g. Cuan, Luing etc in relation to HW Oban times......but searching hasn't turned it up. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Rather embarrassingly, I then searched using the title of this thread, and found it straight away.

Very useful:

I'm somewhat nervous about saying so but, in practice, I think the times vary a lot between neaps and springs... Mrs Markie and I had to punch the last hour or so of West going through the Correvreckan because we didn't take that into account.

Not that we were complaining, it was beautiful.

They are not the time the water changes direction, but earliest times you can get through in a boat with a reasonable amount of power assistance - which you did
Glad to have been of service

Yup, thanks a lot, very useful indeed.

I'll put £2 in the RNLI box if anyone can tell me "where is it" in the pic above. (You can see the place in the top RH corner. :) )

Nope! You're all wrong. Careful study of the colour and texture of the water in the top left would have revealed it was Puilldobhran.

Frankly, I'm a little dissapointed in you all. :)
