I assumed that the important word was 'able'.
I seem to remember previous posts which mentioned a leaky forehatch.

Ah yes, I forgot. Well, congrats then on getting it fixed Shard and Mme Shard - there are few jobs as satisfying on a boat as stopping a leak.

Perhaps the lang eejit just means he can sleep wi his heed in ra saloon an his size 14's in ra forepeak

Aye, the length of the forward berths is the main problem for me. It's been fine for shortairse guests. Jimi and yourself would have no bother....

Yer invitations have become mair gracious over the winter - was it not being flooded oot that brought about this change?

But where will the crew & servants sleep if I use the forepeak. Especially as the aft cabin is reserved for the grandchildren. I suppose the paid hands would be safe enough in the cockpit now we have a full canopy to keep them in their place. So that's places for 8 in a wee 30'r.
Hmm, maybe I'll need more servants now, I hear that Celts are cheap to hire these days.
