I bought YM today and was amazed that page 10 reads like a list of Bluemoment 'A' listers!!!!!

I forgot to check Readers' Boats - Silkie will be pleased.

Text reads as though at least 10 people on board Silkie whilst sailing up Sound of Mull.

Maybe Silkie is 22 metres LOA, rather than feet.

It'll be interesting to see what they've made of the text. I sent quite a long spiel (sp?) after their initial request for a bigger copy of the pic. Dick Durham 'phoned and said he'd lost the text but if I re-sent it he'd call me back for a chat about it. I never heard from him again so what they've used will presumably be a precis of my original text.

PS - Thanks for allowing them to use your photie Nick.

I had a look on the online version today. The "users boats" bit read OK apart from it suggested that everyone on the CC09 was on one boat, I presume it was the CC09, the SB Clyde cruise had different folk on it.

Come to that it's a bit of a cheek that the CC09 cruise was made out to be a YBW event, I believed it to be a Bluemoment do, but I could be wrong I often am.

I didn't find any parrots or pirates so I'm going looking for a paper copy tomoz.

If YBW are taking cedit for the Chentleman's Cruise then I am afraid we may have to take the ultimate sanction.

(This involves Claymore, large quantities of Laphroaig and some industrial strength duct tape, but I don't want to go into details on a family website)

Note to YM - These images have been scanned from my bought and paid for paper copy. The quality is only sufficient to encourage others to go out and buy a copy of the magazine.

I see my deathless prose has been in the hands of the (non-sailing) sub-editor. Indeed it would appear to have been sub-edited to the very edge of meaning and beyond.

Just think, if I ever want to sell Silkie I'll be able to say "as featured in YM" in the ad.
