And deep in darkest coldest Denmark, Claymore sat rather disconsolately.
He has just been informed that the evening meal will be a traditional danish number

Christmas beer - sweet and non alcoholic and rice pudding

Fer feck's sake......

Sounds as if your grandchild is being brought up in a healthy environment.
I hope you'll be back in UK for Ne'erday to undo all the good work.

Either way have a good one.

Oh I say hard luck old chap. Just away to start cooking the traditional fish and chips. This will be followed by some port and stilton whilst wrapping the last of the xmas pressies ... usually pi$$ed by the end of Shrek2

Anyway - to all forumites and the loved ones have a wonderful Christmastime
Har en dejlig familie jul Claymore!

We've just had a curry preceded by a couple of G&Ts, sipping a mellow Merlot and might wash it down with the speckled hen.

Mind you, I'd have thought you'd get a bacon sannie and Carlsberg at least in the legoland!

Having once had a tour of the Tuborg establishment in Copenhagen, and having seen all the wonderful selection of beer that they brew there, I thought it would be rather rude not to sample most of them

A wonderful place to visit if you get the chance.

In the T&T tonight they had an Orkney brew yclepit Cloutie Dumpling - a pudding beer if ever there was one. Most fragrant. Back for beef casserole and then wine and snacks when friends came round. Not hung the cards yet but heyho.

Very festive here - first time we have had snow lying on Seil for more than a couple of hours. :snowman :shiver

Merry Christmas to one and all. :xmas

[moan] Must be an acquired taste; tried it the other night. Not nice, cloudy, going off. So swapped for another Orkney, Raven I believe, which was in condition, but quite unpleasant imho. Shame, their Dark Island was all right if I remember correctly. [/moan]

Anyway, a Guinness and a dram took the taste away. :)

Best wishes, all.
