"Courante": January's YM

Well, well. during our breezy summer cruise we found ourselves anchored nearby an eye-catching Nicholson 32 in Loch Sgiopoirt, South Uist.

Turns out, according to their article in YM, that the couple on board were on their honeymoon. It was blowing quite hard for much of time, and, on a rare occasion ashore, we met them by an abandoned cottage on the hillside where they were trying to get sufficient internet signal for a weather forecast.

Nice boat, a pleasant couple, and I wish them well. I noticed the comment in the article about sustainable fishing; I believe some posters here would approve, what with being strongly into very sustainable fishing.

Indeed, it's hard to imagine that particular resource being easily depleted.

I saw Courante last week in the same yard Tafna is laid up in. Nice boat.

Very nice indeed. We also saw her in there when "Shard" came out the the water about three weeks ago. I'll keep an eye open for "Tafna"; you must have been sorry to part with her.

I thought I saw a yellow boat-shaped sticker with 'Shard' written on it on a whiteboard! Sadly we now won't be able to look out for you, but you could give Tafna a pat on the rump. She is very shiny now, what with her new Cruiser Uno petticoat and Johnstone's Weatherguard topsides...
