Don't leave your black and decker workmate (plus) exposed to damp.
The wooden top/clamps aren't wood at all, they're clumps of sawdust loosely connected by cheap gum, and are positively dangerous to stand on once the rain goes off.
Going to have to make proper plywood ones before I can get on with the original job.

Talking about workmates . . . .
Do you know if you can get the little plastic things that you push into holes in the top to make different size clamps, and if so, where?
A couple of mine have gone "walkabout"

Jim, why didn't you ask this last month?
Wife crushed my workbench while reversing the car into the garage (don't ask!) and I skipped it - complete with "little plastic things" .... I'll check the garage to make sure there aren't any lying around though.

Cor that must be a new fangled cheapo one or a copy. Mine is some 20 years old-ish and IS plywood.
