I've removed the thread about the Dunstaffange hoist (OP Puddock) as although I don't think it was actually libellous it was certainly going to upset someone. Personally I wouldn't want to be upsetting the hoist operators if I thought there was any chance of wanting to use the facility myself at any point in the future.

So - it wasn't really pulled because of libellierous stuff - you self centred wee poltroon - it was the "Fairwinds..this belangs tae yon webfekker - Jim, jest raise it a wee tad higher if ye will an lets see hoo she bounces" conversation you were trying to avoid.

We keep Fairwinds on a mooring, not a poltroon.

Balvicar Boatyard has no less than three hoists of various sizes, all made by the man himself and kept in fine fettle - and in any event we are staying in the water this year.

I'm not surprised, I would'nt go near a hoist myself if I'd said the things you'd said about hoist operators.
