Planning a long weekend at the boat....

1) When planning a long weekend at the boat to catch up on your "jobs", don't leave at 21.30 hrs (arriving at 01.00 hrs) without first checking with your employer who will call you at 10.00 hrs advising you that your prescence will be required offshore in the very near future.
2) Also advantageous, would be to stop at some point, on the return journey to Aberdeen, to check who has been calling you on your mobile. You may find it is the same employer, advising you that the job has infact been delayed by several days. This is best done before you arrive back in Aberdeen.

Or - alternative tip -

When heading for a weekend on the boat, if you work offshore on an 'on-call' basis be sure to text your employer at Crianlarich telling him that you are now going out of mobile phone range and will not be back in range until Monday, then switch your phone off.

(There is bound to be some other poor sod on the list who has not been as resourceful)
