Terribly sad homecoming to find that Tubbs our fine cat had passed away whilst we were in Denmark. Dear Heart and I are almost inconsolable at the prospect of not having him around anymore.
Can't stand the heartache so thats it - no more pets.

Sorry to hear that. Was he called Tubbs after the League of Gentlemen?

Double tragedy has now struck as Henry has died - just pined away at the loss of her son until she passed away on Sunday night.
Claymore spent last night exhuming Tubbs and digging a bigger grave so now they are together again.
The house is so quiet and strange without them.

What a very sad thread. I am deeply touched, but was appalled by Jim's heartlessness. Losing one is bad enough but two is almost tragic.
Anyway to cheer you up and remember the happy times together here Rossini's
Duetto buffo di due gatti.

We had a similar experience 7 years ago when 2 cats (sisters) died within a few weeks of each other. We didn't know the second was ill at all until the first one went. I have a very ambivalent attitude to cats but you do miss them when they have been around for years.

Muss, very sorry to hear the sad news about your dog, but you should take comfort from the fond memories you have of him, I had to take our last dog, which my wife had when I met her, to be put down, and was crying while walking back from the vets, he wont know anything about it, its so fast.
