Back in the water!

Brought Shard back from Barcaldine to Dallens Bay this morning. Bit bumpy, 28-36 knots with a lot of gusts of 40 - 45 kts apparent, so, 7kts sailing with a postage stamp of genoa, true would have been about 35 -43 kts, gusting up to about 52kts. Fortunately the waters are sheltered here, although picking up the mooring took several attempts. Occasional sunshine, interspersed with horizontal rain and hail.
The current forecast, "West veering northwest 7 to severe gale 9, increasing storm 10 for a time.", has put paid to my plans for a short single handed cruise.

I've knocked all that teaching malarkey on the head - too much real work to do.

No fat pension either. It isn't easy being a philanthropist and internet tycoon you know.
