The Plimsoll Sensation

What an excellent book. Have others read it? It charts the campaign by Samuel Plimsoll in 1870's+ to have a load line. Up until that point some ships sailed over-insured and with just a few inches of freeboard. Also, some "known dangerous" ships changed their name - possibly a more convincing reason why name-changing of a vessel is thought bad luck.

Not read it and maybe thread drift but anything to do with plimsolls ie trainers?
