.
Am now in possession of a very nice sample burgee so will go ahead with the order.

Image
(Dimensions are 49.5cm x 32cm)

My card will presumably be debited at the current exchange rate (up 2 cents, whoopee!!) so I will let you know the new price per flag once I have them. All orders at the originally quoted price will be honoured, but those wishing to make up the difference are very welcome to do so.

Total orders are currently around 34 burgees, so there should be 16 or so left in stock.

Can you take the difference automically or do I have to do something?

Sadly I have no way of automatically removing money from members' pockets or accounts :cry

What I will do is set up a PayPal button when the time comes - it will be painless.

Well, I'm not so sure about that - Muzzy reckons you lifted a tenner from our kitty in Ardfern and at no time did your fingers leave your hands apparently

Much more artistic than the cheaper version. I like the cloud effect in the sky and the reflection of sunbeams near the shore.

Try B&Q for some lessons then.
I made an £88 purchase today paying by debit card, which the tiller first swipped then decided to void the transaction in favour of a chip and pin transaction, as it so happened 16min later while on her way home from work swmbo got a mini statement at the atm to discover the bank had taken £88, not once but twice, even though he had cancelled the swipe thingy which meant there wasent any reciept for me to sign, I went back to B&Q who say its the banks fault.
So how could the bank take the first money without my signiture and what can I do about it?

It seems the burgees are now in Glasgow. Card is yet to be debited, but it looks like being in the region of £550 or a bit more, plus £122 import duty and VAT

Total cost is therefore looking like £14.00 plus postage, which we will keep to a minimum. We hope to have the burgees on Monday or Tuesday and will start fulfilling orders immediately. Will post again when the exact cost is known, but I am hoping we can keep it to £15.00

They are lovely though - or at least the sample one is. Only five months!

Well done Nick.
I hope you are getting paid for your time and costs, ie, phone, etc.

Excellent news though your calculations seem to imply that VAT will only be charged on the duty rather than the value + duty. I'm not so sure.

Already paid - total amount was £122. Import duty was only about £30, rest was VAT. Good job good old Gordon knocked 2% off eh?
