First weekend in May. Pre-cruise drinkies will be on Thursday 30th April for those who can make it, with Friday the first sailing day of the cruise proper. Sunday night should be somewhere central for all so that Monday is a short run home with a sair head.
Do I take it that you intend to be one of "the rest of us" in 2009?

Not sure when the boat goes back in the water, and then I'll have to convince Nurse, however, it's something to aim for.

First English bank holiday then - Happy to wedge into the charter if everyone else is - would prefer not to sleep in the bloody coffin you annoying people put me in last year

The Muz is counting down his days to the big retirement so has a limited number of annual leave days - he has indicated that he cannot think of a better way to spend a day's leave than venturing up to grapple with Alba's finest. He's not a man prone to smiling much at work but I definately caught a spring in his step and a crease around the eyes and mouth when we discussed this over a coffee this morning.

This is one of the many benefits of the CC

it sets an achievable, earlyish target for launching.

Not a moveable feast.
All club boats (40-ish) go in on the same day.
Then we've got to get them working.
