I'm planning to be away tomorrow night heading north: Loch Ewe, Summer Isles etc. then an extended spell in Orkney, coming back towards the end of July via the Caley Canal. (The latter part of this plan depends critically on Scotrail choosing to run their sleepers to/from Inverness and Fort Bill so that I can get to meetings in London while the boat's in the canal: as of today they're not prepared to commit themselves, but "might know tomorrow". Grr! :x )

End of July for us

We're leaving end of July (We'll keep a look out for Avilion on your return journey).

At the moment, we're thinking of Western Isles, Sutherland, maybe along the north coast to Orkney, then return down the west coast, Inner Sound etc.

But who knows? We'd planned to sail to the Scilly Isles last year, but ended up going round Ireland. Took a wrong turning somewhere.

Be in tobers on Monday 17th July and then see where the wind takes us. We tried to go North last year - but with the wind settled from the N decided to head west.

Give us a shout if you are around!

I can confirm that this is in hand. I saw Sheena bringing fresh coffee aboard for the cafetierre only last week.

Hopefully some of her delicious home baking will be aboard. Either that something nice from the biscuit tin will be provided.

All dependant on a good result of course.
