A quick where is it for your amusement.
Not a spot I'd care to anchor!

A better guess than Seahouses.
Perhaps this may help:

Looks very like a slightly more prominent point than Ocklepoint, about six miles to the west of Ockle.
In an earlier life I was a "Keeper" of that horn and its associated "Egyptian Style"light,

Your picture was taken on a much nicer day than mine.
The weather was awful, it was almost impossible to hold the camera steady in the wind, which I would guess as being F9, with heavy rain. We had to turn the car head to wind to avoid losing the doors when we opened them.
The pictures of the sea are a bit disappointing, it was much rougher than it appears in the photos. I'm glad we went by car and not boat.

I spent the whole of last week in Ardnamurchan. I had a long list of exciting jobs to do around the place like painting the shed. All I managed in the week was to get the grass strimmed.
What a week. Truly dreadful, the bonnet got blasted off the chimney one night.
Our place looks north over Eigg and up to Skye. Very little shipping around through the week and not one yot. I did see one of the norwegian fish farm support vessels come eastwards up the coast, about half a mile offshore, if that. Usually their course takes them round the point, north of the Fascadale buoy and then into Mallaig.
Did you see the long tow the day you were at the light house ? I think it went past on the Wednesday. One tug and then on a very, very long tow a big barge with what looked to be a lot of construction plant on it. I first saw it passing Fascadale and then in the afternoon passing Kilchoan. I was wondering how you would get such a long tow round a sharp corner, shorten the tow or go out and take a very wide arc?

Talking of lighthouses, I used to live next to this one when I was a wee laddie -

Went to school with the keepers kids, and when it was foggy, we used to paddle in the cooling water for the engines.
Happy days !

We went up to Invermorriston last Wednesday. Went to Skye on Thursday, Beauly on Friday, Ardnamurchan Sat and home on Sunday.
I suppose there were a few minutes when it stopped raining, but not many.
We usually have a few days in West Scotland at this time of year, wedding anniversary, and this was the worst weather we've seen.
This was a "stream" near Portree:
Paddling was definitely out.
