Hello Everyone,

I work with Dee Caffari, you may or may not know of her but she is taking part in this year's Vendee Globe race. She is one of 7 Brits taking part in the race and one of only two girls. Dee and her Open 60 yacht Aviva will be setting sail on 9 November on the non-stop round the world race and I wanted to let you know that you can follow her race at www.avivaoceanracing.com.

There is loads of content on the website, including competitions, videos of Dee in action, pictures you can use as wallpaper and a really cool cutaway of the boat which shows just how simple life has to be onboard, I can't even imagine spending one night onboard let alone 90!

Basically, if you're interested in follow Dee's progress and learning more about Open 60 racing log on to www.avivaoceanracing.com. Let me know your thoughts as we're always looking for feedback and ideas.

Cheers,

Caroline

I think you should invite Dee and Caroline along for the CC 2009 so they can make up their own minds about that. I'm sure they would learn something from our discussions on sail trimming and heavy weather tactics.

:-) Sounds more up Dee's street than mine!

She's due to be in the Southern Ocean over Christmas so spare a heavy weather tactic thought for Dee as you dress the Christmas tree this year!

You can discuss sail trimming and heavy weather tactics, I'm going to sit with a gilly grin on me face and drool.
