Anyone who lives aboard a First 18 has my vote anyday.
That's the inside of mine.
They aren't the biggest boat afloat are they?
Welcome to the forum.
Hi Trouville

Hi there mate,
I am Allan on the YBW forum and just thought I would come on here to say hi and how are you. I have now sold my 22foot boat and bought a much older 33 foot (10m) one. As you may remember my plans were partly inspired by your adventures. I am nowhere need as fearless as you but I am moving through the time-line I have to eventually run away to sea.
Good luck and keep it up please.
Allan
PS I hope the people on here realise what a star they have in there midst.

Have you met him?
Welcome aboard trou, btw.
PS - OliveOyl sends her regards from the other place.

Thanks every one
Ive just re read my post! For some reason i couldent finish my post i had to write a second part then post both,as i stood on a busy street the sun darkening the screen!
I see that my attempts to type--the "jjj "etc were registered??My laptop is not doing what it ought but what it wants??
The first 18s not a bad boat! She sails really well, while room is at a premium i only sleep aboard ,shes quite comfortable well thought out.
Of course its warm still and days can be spent on the beach or on the key doing odd jobs or in a cafe.
She dose have the very great advantage of being a size that can tie up in the smallest space there is.A very nice boat!So far her deck is leak resistant!
