Bonjour
I see that the people of your Scuttlebutt place are planning a visit to Cherbourg in some days.
Is this something that you also participate in or do you choose not to come so far south?
I understand that Monsieur Parahandy may already be there as he has not been able to make his way back across to England. In truth, whilst this has not been so very good summer - I believe there have been the opportunities - is it that Monsieur has not the Lion Heart?

René Tremblaire himself, the distinguished French sailor who once described Claymore as "une grande je sais".

Yes - I remember this my young friend and the pains of which you went to assure me that a "big cheeses" is a important persons with you.
I was not assured of this and would be glad if this will cease now. I come as a friend to your domain and wish to remain so. Monsieur Parahandy has spoken with me at length this summer whilst he has been a prisoner of the weather in my Country. When I said that stayed when he might have braved the elements and sailed for the English shore, I was not being critical of him and he has of course an atlantic crossing to his credit. I understand that you are not sailing this year on Claymore - have you taken your friend Monsieur LeSadlers advice then or do the duties of grandparent prevail upon you?
Au revoir

I spoke to him on the mobile 2 months ago and he said, 'oi bog off I'm in France and this call is costing me a fortune. I'll phone you when I get home.' Not heard after that so he must have been in France ever since..'
