flying back there tomorow, hope to push off saturday or sunday but, of course, not Friday.

I will pm the satphone number which you can circulate for those who want to send free messages, weather forecasts, and general abuse. Google for iridium messaging.

Cheers Matt

Thanks Matt, got the PM, will be in touch.

Good luck, have a great trip and don't tell your crew to get on their bike - at least not until Horta. Try and see a bit more of the Azores this time - they are worth it. Hire a scooter to buzz round Horta then head home by way of Terceira and make sure you see a bull running . . .

Enjoy, still sunny here but it can't last . . .

You are quite right that i oughta see more of the azores but as far as family is concenred it's a delivery trip innit, and swmbo has even gone as far as booking her plane ticket to Faro on 8th June.

However, there is a quite bizarre extended mercedes taxi in horta, so i reckon i might have a go at that.

The main task is to measure up for large-scale roller-painting of a good lump of the inside of the breakwater and see how big a "Mojomo" logo i can get on there with specially-made stencil...

for reference, whilst looking at an otherwise large blue empty chart, our direct route is essentially something like coords below but of course i will prolly be a good bit north of this line until towards the end ...

So precise - obvious heavy reliance on the autopilot....

Just had a look at Googley thing.

It would appear that Mojomo has run aground a bit.

Someones back garden would seem to be an odd mooring for a big cat. Do they have big tides there?

So he has.

A remarkable voyage, starting from a back garden and passing directly across Anguilla.

He must have been going at a hell of a lick to pass right across the island.

There must be more to these catermerangues than I thought.

Anybody know how to send an email to the boat?

It seems to me that the water speed log is not working properly - this is imporant for the wind instrument to compute the True wind speed.

There again it could be finger trouble, like Matt says, but he hasnt made any reference to STW, only SOG.

Yes

I have the satphone no. but when I tried to send a text message via the website it said I had the wrong no.

Anyone with the satphone number can send an email to 1234567890@msg.iridium.com, but keep it short (max. 160 characters inc. spaces)

I've tried an email in case the number is right but the text message service is dodgy.

Anyway, looks like they are having way too much fun yet again :)
