Well no that's me in the middle photo.
Was supposed to be a follow-up photo floating off the cradle but I cocked it up!
Anyway the boat is now in Fanny's Bay..

Doesn't look long (or deep) enough to be you. Must be the camera angle.

Sadler 34 shallow fin 1.65 m draft.
Floated off with - ooh - inches to spare..
Otherwise it was at least 4 weeks to wait

Begorrah!

I take it that your yard is competitively priced?

Cheeky sod! That's what I calls a proper boatyard! Sadly not many of 'em left in UK now, but I do know of at least one hidden away in Wales

It'll certainly be cheaper than mine was this year.

Nice being back in the water again. :D

Any particular plans for the season, or sailing out of Fanny's Bay?

No just letting in water while shaft turning but may need a lift out (sigh) to sort it

We once had a bit of a shock when we'd arrived at Castlebay after a bumpy sail from Tobermory - the bilges (one of which passes for our cool store) were full of water. We were worried that there was a leak around the propshaft hull fitting, but it turned out that the (phosphor-bronze?) casing on the propshaft tube, well pitted with corrosion, had started to leak between the hull fitting and the gland.

It was an easy enough repair (buried the tube in epophen resin) but it required a lift out.

Mind you, we sailed for two weeks before the liftout - pumping out every three hours, day and night......

What sort of seal is it?
