RNLI Islay will be 90 years old this year. In the past my family had a long history with RNLI Islay as coxswain and crew. Tragedy happened when my grandmother’s younger brother died at sea on the lifeboat, as a volunteer crew member. Her older brother received medals for his service as a coxswain. There is a plaque to both at the lifeboat station.

As you all no doubt know, the RNLI is funded entirely from donations. In this anniversary year, if you wish to donate directly to RNLI Islay, please do so using the link below. If you are a UK tax payer, please consider gift aid, which costs you nothing.

Donation also enters you into a prize draw.
In 2024 the RNLI is celebrating it's 200 year anniversary. It also marks 90 years of Islay RNLI and 10 years of our new station on Port Askaig pier - that's a lot to celebrate!

Enter our anniversary raffle to be in a chance to win some great prizes! More prizes to be announced! Winner will be drawn on July 20th. Best of luck!
