All the best for 2024!

Fair winds for the sailing season and hope the cares of the world sink to the abyss as you sail along.

Hope to see you on the water.

Sums this place up. Over 900 views and only 2 posters wished the forum members a happy new year.

This place is dead and has been for along time.

Well, no-one would ever know but this site, along with all my other sites, has been moved to a newer, bigger, faster server.

A bit OTT for a moribund backwater, no?

Can we expect an upsurge in members utilising the new server's abilities?

Unlikely. The only way new members come here is word of mouth.

We've all been posting online for around 25 years now - it feels like I've run out of things to say!
I don't go on TOP anymore - I occasionally browse anonymously in rare moments of abject boredom, but I really have lost interest.

It's strange that although I don't do anything like the number of posts on here that I used to (most of them were a bit rubbish anyway- so that will be a relief to some) - it does feel like meeting up with old friends once we have a thread going - however briefly.
I'd miss this site if it went.

Perhaps there is a Phd project for some young shaver examining the changes that influence our participation in such matters.

Shame we don't have any young shavers - I'd volunteer to be a PHd supervisor if we need one

G'Day.
Funnily enough, I've not long started shaving. Would I qualify?
Too young to understand how to upload images from my phone. Can't see a click and drag function anywhere.
Would love to share what we have been doing in Melbourne and Tasmania....
Hot here, by the way....

Jim and Mandy just home from South Africa cruise. We're here (oz) with Chris and Terrie.

Clouded over a bit here today and temp has dropped from about 36° to 19°. Might even rain.

You think of everything! Did rain today and it was cold enough to put on long trousers and a jacket.
