The Summer Isles, Philip Marsden

A description of a journey from Cornwall to Ullapool (aiming for the Summer Isles but missed!) via west of Ireland. For me, there's a lot of nostalgia - places we went and some we considered but missed. And the waves. Enjoyable.
There's also much discussion of fairies, myths, legends, Gaelic (gaylic) and Gaelic (garlic without "r") and poetry. I could have done without that part.

Steve, I'm sorry if my review misled you. I too found it a difficult read but didn't emphasise that in the review did I?

I hadnt seen this, so apologies. The comment was aimed at the book, which I had previously read, so wasnt a go at your critiquing :)
