.
Fairwinds will be up for it if it's early May - might be running a course the last two weekends in May though.
(In which case maybe Kathy and Big Jill could take Fairwinds - they are both Dazed Kippers after all and it's about time they appreciated the lonely pressures of command . . . )

We would need back up for any repairs, rescues required with no reporting back to the Master.

We're hoping to go roon' the bend (Mulligans tyre) early in the season and remain there until late in the year, using the free bus to come home as neccessary. But I'm told it could also be Ireland...... Ie, I don't know.
The captains decision is final, so the plaque(plague?) says.
I'm just the mechanic, shipwright, navigator, sailtrimmer, dishwasher etc. so I stand to as required. Would be nice to be there though.

We'd like to, but the problem is my employer who doesn't give me an early May Monday off so we are constrained to the weekend only. For us, that makes getting south of Cuan an epic journey...

Yup, seems a good idea.
BTW, is there a date fixed for the second leg of the Clyde/Caledonaian meet? Or will the CC be it?
Re His Lairdship, I'm sure he could be fitted in somewhere.
CC in May?

It's gettin' awfae complicatit the noo, is it no?
Since many can do both the first two weekends in May I suggest we put both in the plan and get all that tiresome socialising out of the way right at the start of the season.
The first would be nominally the CC (in case any of our other ex-pat friends wish to sign up) and the second the Clydesiders Meet. Any of the natural candidates for either would, of course, be welcome to participate in the other, should it prove more convenient. The CC would be a long weekend and the CM just slightly stretched. Are you all following this?
I plan to sail both weekends anyway (subject to weather and the requirements of the service) and would be delighted to do so in company.

Should I assume from the dearth of replies that this is not a suggestion which meets with universal approval?
What we need is a proper cruise director.
CC etc

No, I wouldn't assume that at all. Sounds fine to me.
(Agree that a proper CD is required, but I ain't volunteering!)

I've got a triple CD of Lonnie Donegan, if that's any use?

So WHAT WE NEED IS A PROPER CRUISE DIRECTOR then, a born leader with charisma, organisational skills and a pert (if hairy) airse.
Or we could get Donald to do it.
