that when he went into his local hostelry recently he discovered to his financial embarrassment that friends of his had dropped by and put their foray into the sweet trolley on his tab.

He doesn't know what to do for the best. Should he:

a) Pay the tab and keep quiet about it

b) Pay the tab and bring it up discreetly
or
c) blab about it all over the internet?
