There's a post on facebook dated 23 August 2020 saying its up for sale. I wonder what value of stock is included in the 135k asking price. Would be a nice retirement era business, but maybe finding a place to live reasonably close while running the place is more of a challenge. I would be tempted to investigate if it wasn't for the bug.

The lady serving didn't know what I was looking for and was learning fast. It seems that an elderly relative (maybe her dad) had passed and she was trying to keep the business going.

It'd be a shame to loose such a useful resource in such a spot, but I suspect that places like Ardfern, where the chandlery doubles as the stores for the workshop is going to be one of the few places to survive the WWW.
