Racor Filter Blank Plugs

When you buy your new Racor Filter, it comes fitted with two blank plugs in two of the four ports.

My tip is

These blank plugs are not sealed or tightened.

Obvious really - they don't know the layout of your fuel system.

But when you're pushing to finish the install, and the plugs happen to be in the right place, it's easy to forget.

Result - one port pi55es fuel all over your shiny new toy, and the other lets in air which stops said shiny new engine.

We had that as well.....

It sure is.

BTW - Do you know a suitable touch up paint - I scratched the water pipe on the top of the engine with the wire strop!!
