A stupendous (is that the right word?) achievement!

Have to congratulate our illustrious webmaster on his truly staggering feat in sparking a thread of over 1000 pointless posts on another forum. Don't click here unless you have a very high nonsense tolerance and a lot of time on your hands!

The question "Why?" is irrelevant. It needed doing and who better for the job?

Respect!

Edit: Just remembered that it's in the members only Lounge so the link won't work if you're not registered. Sorry!

Aw shucks, it was nuffin'

Although I did appreciate the green tribute from the Management . . .

(I've asked for it to be removed later today as I don't want to stand out forever for a transitory achievement though).

Having achieved the widest and longest threads, what do you think the next target should be?

I'll give it some thought..

Kathy, Jill (crew from the Chentleman's Cruise) and I went up to Dunstaffnage last Friday hoping to see you. Mooched around the pontoons and had a look at Silkie - looking good, sitting comfortably in the F8. Stuffed a popped fender back beside the big steel boat on the hammerhead, but Silkie was fine. Rough though . . . thought my first experience of mal-de-mer might be on a pontoon . . .

Jill was muttering about Drascombe Luggers and such bollox . . . I described the progression to her according to financial circumstances:

- Corribee
- Hurley 22
- Contessa 26 (one for sale at Dunstaffnage)
- Halcyon 27 or Vega 27

(After that I don't know - it's rather a big jump to a Rustler 36 or Tradewind 35)

Anyway, this weekend . . . looking crap so far, but we will come up and see you if actual sailing doesn't happen. What is your mobno and does it work at the Frog?

- Nick

Have PMed..

but you've probably got it already. I've got yours anyway. Reception is dodgy at best in the Frog but usually OK on the pontoon.

Glad to hear Silkie was riding it out. One of the main reasons for going up this weekend in spite of the forecast is to see how she's been getting on in these winds. I've been wishing I'd doubled some lines before leaving her last time, though the marina are pretty good if they're expecting anything out of the ordinary.

Honest, Silkie is fine . . .

But see you anyway.

Sunday is looking OK, so maybe we could go for a sail?

- Nick

That would be good

Let's pencil it in as a definite maybe and see how the weather develops.
