Deep Depression?

It's been a flamin' education for me! Good news on the weather front though - I'm sailing next weekend so there will be a deep low off the west coast of Scotland and the Azores high will be pushed firmly back to it's rightful position.
Don't know what happened further north, but I'm sitting at my desk in Glasgow glowing ever so red and giving off therms.

Whit a weekend! Thirty five boats anchored in Lochranza! St Ninians Bay on Bute had the full signs up (now theres no mooring or facilities there...) Rothesay reported full. Two boats tied up together on my mooring (nothing new there though...)

Everyone and their dug was out this weekend

We managed a nice sail on Saturday before the wind dissapeared.

Roll on next weekend....

I'll second that motion, Brodick only had 4 moorings spare Friday night and Saturday night Milport was chocker with several boats anchored.

It wasn't much good for sailing but the factor 4 was used to good effect.

If it's any consolation . . .

Both the marinas on Sao Miguel are completely full due to the simultaneous arrival of ARC Europe and AZAB and so we have no safe berth in the current weather conditions within 150 miles . . .

Too many people sailing these days or what?

Well I spent most of Friday and Saturday removing, cleaning up and re-bedding two leaky windows. I'm glad the job's now done (and only hope that the leak's now gone) but it seemed a bit of a waste of a nice weekend... Fingers still pretty black with Sika...

Fingers still pretty black with Sika...

- Baby Wipes, Dave, Baby Wipes (before it sets, that is)

How anyone managed to go yachting before kitchen roll and baby wipes is a complete mystery.

Looks like I'm going to be proved wrong on all counts.

The aforementioned depression appears to be going to track to the south and east of Scotland while the Azores high is very definitely an Azores low.
