What could possibly go wrong?

A new navigation hazard exists on the approaches to Ardfern or Craobh - depending on the wind direction.
Mariners are advised it’s pointless trying to take evasive action as this vessel will be steering an erratic course if at speed and will be at times partially or totally submerged with debris extending in a 5 meter radius from point of impact and substantially more if it’s a tad breezy.

This foil fits into the ‘deep Tuttle’ skeg box but this board can take both types of foil mount. I think there are only two boards on the market now that have a centre board...

The board it’s self is interesting as it’s a 4 in 1 so you can

Windsurf it
Windsurf foil it
SUP paddle it (in the surf- it’s a dog on flat water)
SUP foil surf it

I’ve used the foil on another board but have yet to foil on this. Waiting on wind..

Terrifying, not only from the speed POV, but also now a falling from height risk. I bet it is great fun. Is it more stable than a conventional windsurfer once on the foil, or is it very tippy?

It isn’t as fast as a conventional slalom board but is a lot less physical.

Stability... Once foiling IF you maintain a good stance it is like just standing there lightly holding a rig in your hands.. no chop, silky smooth, effortless glide. Assume standard windsurfing control inputs and things get lairy fast. I’m at the beginner stage of this but once up on the foil it is an addictive feeling.

If you compare it to skiing then think about skiing over icy rock hard ‘death cookies’ on a mogul run then straight into deep powder.
