Get blogging

I have set up a new server with a simpler, more automated system to give yachties and other people with boaty lives an opportunity to record their cruising logs and let friends know how they are getting on, to record the progress of their nautical projects, training or whatever . . .

http://www.yotblog.com/

The system has a choice of 25 templates, various options for configuring your entries, the ability for people to post comments and loads more features. It is possible to post pictures in your log as there is a file upload system (but please keep pictures reasonably small, and certainly no more than 700 pixels wide).

Have a look at it and see if it is what you need. It is completely automated and totally free - you will notice some (hopefully unobtrusive)
Google ads on the site, as this is what I hope will eventually help me recoup my investment, so don't nag me about them please!

There are now 141 users signed up to YotBlog as of today (31st Dec 2005).

Some of them are not active, and we will be holding a purge in the New Year of those who have not posted for six months. However, many of you are in the process of creating interesting and lasting records and memories of your sailing experiences.

I am continually delighted by the quality of a lot of the writing, and although I know many are writing your blogs primarily for your own satisfaction or to keep friends and family in touch I would encourage anyone to have a browse through Yotblog and read some of the delights there.

Happy New Blogging Year to you all when it comes,

Naughty boy . . .
