Claysie

I see the good shup Claymore is having some work done to her. I notice that they were using cardboard to make something to go on the deck. Just a word of warning: it'll go soggy in the wet.

Happy to help.

Shugs, my barometer of the daily forecast - I am indebted to you. The cardboard is a move by my good self and the burghers of Ardfern at reducing plastic.
What you have seen is not just cardboard but a most special product - perhaps if Carlsberg were to go into the paper industry - this is what they would be making.
More on this later once we are past the prototype stage but my thoughts are with you at this time - are your bits and pieces above the snowline or are things a tad damp and cold?

Ahoy Claysie

I knew that you would be on top of the cardboard spec; I hear that it's more sustainable than teak and the corrugations are good for grating cheese if one should need to do so and cannot find where the grater is.

I am making 12 volt spaghetti on board. I have a 'ground' problem (some say I am not well grounded myself) and after 18 months of absence from sailing it appears that everything on board has given up working. So your cardboard antics are keeping me amused during my regular swear breaks.

I shall report back on proceedings.

Monday to Wednesday. Do drop round for coffee. I'm about 5 boats along from you. The coffee was green but I have upgraded it to brown.

Kettle on around lunchtime Tuesday then?
Are you towards the village or the bogs?

Towards the bogs. How classy. I may just have had a call to action for work so may not be there... but if I am, please drop round. I have 2 year old caramel wafers too. Because they’ve been sharing a Tupperware box with kit kats, they’ve adopted a homogeneous chocolate biscuit taste. But the coffee is so bad it will be a welcome relief.

Your natural skill with words makes it difficult to refuse such hospitality - I have a taste in my mouth right now.......

Reminds me of the Nescafè ads. Will they, won't they?
