Anti-spam

Post by Nick »

.
Have installed an anti-spam MOD that will hopefully kill spam signups dead. It is a service called CleanTalk that references a constantly updated database.

This is a paid for service, which can be used on Wordpress, Joomla etc, so I don't anticipate it going tits up at any point in the future. I am already using it for some of my Wordpress sites and had a spare license.

It's stopped 42 spam signups so far in 7 hours and let one through, so a huge improvement.

I use Mailwasher Pro to pre-filter my mail - saves a lot of time. It costs a wee bit though - around £20 per year.

I see you are using Yahoo mail - doesn;t that have loads of filters and spam traps built in?
