Re: To go round the Mull with this forecast?

Having had the benefit of sailing around those waters (in near perfect conditions last Spring in Aquaplane's mum's motor-cruiser of a Jeanneau) I rather think I have a too rosy-glassed vision of the passage. One advantage is having used the CCC directions and mooring off Sanda it doesn't scare me.
I'm confident of handling Chiron on Windermere so it's a matter of connecting up:
1) my newly-acquired navigation skills and having the courage of my convictions,
2) a positive mental model of the journey, stops and contingencies to make,
3) sailing Chiron on my own using the new autopilot as back-up,
4) Chiron remembering what sailing in salty water is like. If she gets a sniff she may get her teeth between the gib sheets and make a bolt for the Isle of Man.
PS - I like today's forecast!
