There are certainly plenty of boats in the sale at Kip, including the HR36 I mentioned previously.
Couldn't find a 36, but did find this
Hallberg-Rassy 312.
Maybe we could amend Claymore's Cunning Plan slightly.
How many 1/64ths of her do peeps want buy?
If we went mob handed, we must be able to drive the price down, and there must be enough practical and marketing skills on this forum to ensure that we can increase her value by next year's show.
Claymore might have a free mooring going at Ardfern, and Nick might do us a good deal on his sales site.
I could maybe manage 3/64.

.
Nice boat but grossly overproced IMHO and likely to be available for less than half that within 12 months.
I don't think this is a good time to rush into an old boat purchase - just hang on a bit with your money safe under a mattress somewhere.

Garn you old skinflint Nick - its made round to roll not flat to stack.
Ash - stick 3/64ths my way please
Actually - why don't you base the price on 52th shares then the less academic of us could equate it to weeks?
This would suit Jimi and Para

Yer but, no but, yer but, no but,
64ths is much more nautical sounding, split it into 52ths and it'll be a time share not a boat share.
like.

If we could drive the price down to £32K, then that would make a nice easy figure of £500 a share.
Is that just too optimistic, even in this financial climate?
Ok then, £48K, for £750 per 1/64th - our last offer - valid only till the end of the SHBS, and subject to survey and sea trials of course.
Ash
Edit - Apologies to C_W, wouldn't have made sense if I'd removed all reference to m*n*y.
BTW - are you in for a 1/64th?

looks as though that one needs a bit of TLC. (TLC as in takes loads of cash).
Now I know the 36, (I fell of the stern of it in Wreck Bay), it is a good one and asking £125000 so not unreasonably priced, more likely to hold its value than shares or cash in the bank at the moment!
