Booby Trapper is long gone but I prefer that to Shearwater.

Boobytrapper sounds both filthy and painful?
Are you in touch with Barry - the previous owner?

Previous boat Booby Trapper came with the name, it was a Trapper 300. A booby is a burd (kind of ugly in cute way) but it's not what usually springs to mind when folks see the name.
Haven't spoken to Barry the previous owner of Shearwater since I bought her and that was 7 years ago. How time flies! He was giving it up as all his sailing buddies had died or got too old to carry on. A bit sad really having to give up rather than just sailing on till you pop off. I don't know if he's still around, do you know of him? He might be pleased to know Shearwater is still around, think he'd had her around 20 years.

They used to keep her at Kilmelford which is how we met. Lovely family and Barry was quite a tough man - he went bionic with hips and then did some marathon bike rides.
Lost touch with them now

Methinks you are confusing "Booby" with "Bobby" (pronounced boaby) and a bobbytrapper does indeed sound painful.
By way of lateral thinking, I became aware that there is, on yon upyourtube thingy, a video of an applicant for a Darwin award attempting to lick the cheese in a mousetrap. Possibly they may read this thread and be tempted do the world a favour and remove their chances of producing offspring.
