Wondering who else might have the Compatex boot posted by "greyfisherman", I googled "Sailing boots Compatex".
Most of the entries Google throws up for those words are porn sites.
I noted that Gill say their boots are naturla rubber, but when I tried to repair the leaks in mine using natural rubber tyre tube puncture repair kits, kit doesn't take, suggesting these are not in fact natural rubber, but some form of plastic synthetic.
Geoff.

So, will they outlast 10 pairs of 10squid wellies at say 3 years a pair - that's 30 years worth of footwear?
Well I thought about that but I didn't see any wellies at £10. I did see plenty rubber wellies around £30-£45 In fact the ones I have been wearing up until now have been that type but the problem is they get cold in winter and aren't breathable so As it was my birthday I thought I'd treat myself and see how they go.

I'm pretty sure that Compatex is Compass24's "own label" fabric so that you won't find any other suppliers using the same name although no doubt the identical fabric is available elsewhere with different branding.

Ahh, but did you look in Lidl? There were plenty there.
I was the fortunate recipient of a gift of Dubarry boots a couple of years. I would probably never dreamt of spending that much on wellies myself but they are the proverbial dogs bits. The last is a little narrow at the front and I wouldn't want to walk terribly far in them but for lolling about the deck in crap weather they are fantastic.
