Thanks for the info regarding the Maltsters and the Mull racers.
I was planning to leave Bowling at the start of July to make my way up to Stormyway for Hebfest. Sounds as if the SoM, Small Isles route is going to be a bit congested. Back to plan A, south about Islay and maybe a stop in Portnahaven
And as for Stornoway: its probably worth trying to get into the marina, it gets a bit bouncy tied to the harbour wall

As previous years, the Stornoway Sailing Festival will be timed in conjunction with Gairloch's race day.Nick wrote:.
We went to Gairloch for their Big Boat Day on the way this year and then sailed over in company on the Sunday. (Well, mostly with Mavanier really, as Bagheera was too fast for us and the wee Hilliard couldn't keep up).
This year we might struggle to keep up with Kevin as he's traded in his Hillyard for a Rival 32, lucky blimey.
